 P r o f i l e  -  w h a t   i s   S O V A  È R ?

SOVA ÈR is the only professional association of the Czech Republic associated:
- exhibition centers in the Czech Republic,
- the companies organizing trade fairs and exhibitions both in the Czech Republic and abroad,
- other bodies contributing with specific services to the Czech exhibition industry.

SOVA ÈR was established on 13th December 2001 by a merger of three subjects acting in the Czech exhibition industry (SOVA + ÈVVS + Fair and Exhibition Section of the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic).

SOVA ÈR has currently 23 regular members and 4 honorary members.

M a j o r   g o a l s :

- integration and creation of exhibition industry in the Czech Republic in relation to the international market,
- support of the professionalism of all legal entities on the Czech exhibition market,
- implementation of international standards,
- protection of economic interests and prestige of the fair and exhibition organizers in the Czech Republic,
- quality, transparency, coordination and cooperation in the Czech exhibition industry

O r g a n i z a t i o n a l   s t r u c t u r e :

The highest body of SOVA ÈR is the General Assembly, which meets once a year at least.
The Board of Directors has 9 members and is voted in by the General Assembly for the period of 2 years.
The members of Board select its President and 2 Vice-Presidents by voting.
The Overseer Committee has 3 members and is voted in by the General Assembly for the period of 2 years.
The members of Committee select its Chairman and Vice-Chairman by voting.
The Board selects an Executive Director, who undertakes implementation of tasks as requested by the General Assembly.
